Don, I want you to know that I'm happy for you, that you use something that you can understand. But no, even if you have Windows, everything doesn't just "work right". It is EK IT after all. And no, the "Apple User" didn't complain he needed the company to change so he could use his computer. He merely pointed out - correctly, I might add - that it was unlikely EK would implement any sort of iPad app such as the OP described. So going off on a little sermon about what the company requires was kinda irrelevant, although I know you do enjoy that.

I'm sorry Apple hardware is too complicated for some, including the bright lights from Bangalore manning the tech helplines at EK. It does give one pause for thought, that the most empty-headed Grade 2 seems quite adept with their iStuff but certain pilots, supposedly of a technical bent, find it all a bit too overwhelming..? I've never had a problem operating a Mac in a "Windows World", but then, until I moved back in time to the Middle East I hadn't used anything Windows in about ten years. Fortunately I still had some dusty old copy of XP Pro kicking around so I could actually access stuff! lol The biggest challenge was trying to believe that such a large company could operate on systems so archaic.

Microsoft is a dinosaur and like Apple or hate them, it can't really be denied that they know how to make stuff that (a lot) of people want to buy and use. Why does it upset to point out that a lot of guys have this new-fangled tablet thingy that is actually very convenient for accessing the large amount of documentation required for the job? I guess Airbus guys just memorize it all?
