Well if the state government fails to act then all AAI has to do is .. make it a displaced threshold and reduce the LDA. That would literally stop the 320/737s from flying in there. I dont think its the runway length thats the problem (yes 6500 feet needs to be increased) but as the article pointed out its the obstacles on the approach side(s). Just out of curiosity what is the current LDA ?
