7 years ago I moved to South Luton. When I purchased the house the former owner stated the house was not affected by aircraft noise-
I found myself experiencing growth in passenger levels and aircraft movements.
This morning at 12.30am I was awoken by a fully laden Airbus A300 climbing out above my home. Last week I had a DC8 and 737-200 classic with their engines leaving trails.
On the late morning of June 22nd I observed 2 x A300, 1 X 767-300 and the EL AL 777 as they passed over me.
It's living where I do that I fulfilled a dream, to not just over-look an airport but equally be under it's flight path.
But going back to my first point, the house seller stating you could not hear the planes- I knew she was lieing. But just maybe when those residents in Hertfordshire put their properties up for sale they should be honest and state that they are subject to aircraft noise.
Whilst they stick together holding their demonstrations about the airport, i bet you as individuals they do not admit to experiencing the sounds of 'progress'.
