EI moving
Whats the big deal about EI moving - does it really matter which airport they operate from? There has been lots of moving in the past - BA regional routes from BFS to BHD, Easyjet partial move to BHD then back again, BMI from BFS to BHD, a former incarnation of Flybe moving to BFS for a while and so on and so on.
What seems to me to be more important is the fact that BHD has not worked out for a number of airlines - Ryanair, Air Berlin, Aer Arann are but a few fairly recent examples.
In addition, there has been a fuss about the importance of the BFS-LHR route and the fact that if EI move, it will not be served. People are overlooking that fact that from the time BA pulled the Super Shuttle out in 2001/2002 until EI came in in 2007 there rounte was not operated. bmi simply met all the Heathrow demand from BHD
