Now, now, we are not going to have any of that CAT II or CAT 11 horse pooh here, now are we?

I would have thought Bill Clinton's visit to Cork Airport last Friday would have been worthy of a paragraph or two here. I got a great laugh out of it anyway. Good few bizjet visitors again lately some of which have parked up for quite a few days and paying the DAA or CAA handsomely for the privilege!

The Sikorsky S-92 of the Irish Coast Guard was due in Cork today for some familiarisation with the Airport Fire Service but she never materialised due to the weather being at CAT 11 or is it CAT II.

The visibility improved after 2 pm and it was interesting watching a few Aer Lingus A320s and a Ryanair 737 whilst low visibility procedures were still in place and to watch how deep they touchdown especially the two A320s - I am informed that this is to do with the rad alt business onto 17 where the dip is from the back road. Very interesting to watch.
