The box on top of the panel is a FLARM. Developed in Switzerland, it is a kind of 'poor mans' TCAS. The FLARM units all broadcast to each other and a display on the box indicates when one is getting too close and where it is relative to yourself. Often mandated for glider competitions in this part of the world.
