ipad based IFE
How does ipad based IFE(In Flight Entertainment) system work?
Does it have a entertainment program server and wi-Fi network access points to stream the data to the ipads? I believe this system is installed on some airlines like jetstar, British Airways and Singapore budget airline Scoot.As per news paper reports ,the airlines rent ipads during flight to passengers and if you have your own ipad then they provide a device to receive IFE programs.I did Google search and found that it is manufactured by Blue Box Avionics ,UK and no technical details available.
