This is with standard Lycoming injectors, horrible for lean of peak - by the time the richest cylinder reaches 50o LoP the leanest one is hardly firing. The engine monitor on the G1000 is utter rubbish too and doesn't help the cause at all, I'm sure GAMI's and a better engine monitor would get the fuel flows down significantly.

Has anyone done the maths on how long it would take to break even on say a PA31 if you purchased GAMI's and an engine monitor?, I'm sure it wouldn't take long as you could probably get your cruise fuel flows down to say 130lph at the same TAS of 175 or so or a higher TAS of maybe 185 for the original fuel flow of 145lph. All the while running the engines much healthier.
