Even food aid can be dangerous, so with a little planning we could combine the assault with the humanitarian relief effort. I recall seeing footage of New Zealand's "assistance" in the first Afghan scrap (when the Russians were the Bad Guys). A Herc was dropping pallets of milk powder to the starving locals....good on ya NZ, they're in a desert with no water to mix the stuff up and besides which they're lactose intolerant, but never mind, it's the thought that counts. The footage showed two Afghans running after a parachuting pallet, only to be flattened by it when the wind changed suddenly.
