Nope. Even at the pilot cost levels Ansett would have been fine if managed correctly and money reinvested into a streamlined fleet rather than News Ltd coffers. They had such a phenomenal business class market share in the 90's it was unbelievable. All that gifted to QF.
QF have squandered all their money on Jetstar, the managers collect their bonuses but mainline is left to die.
