You must look at this thread and think to yourself, "what a failure I am as a manager". Now I know you are asking why is that so, " I am an excellent manager", well you are not. "Why" I hear you cry? well, lets have a look at the facts, you dont seem to have convinced your people to follow you. There can be no argument then that in your chosen field you have failed, that cannot be in question. Alan Joyce is also a demonstrated failure for the same reason, people dont
follow him,they are pushed, not the way to get maximum effort.
I have worked for some very, very tough people in my time and have had absolute respect for them, because I knew that they would back me
if I was right, (but would chastise me if I was wrong) but do it fairly.
