Rogue is right. First of all remember that in the UAE there is no privacy protection whatsoever as it is a no civil law country where only Sharja rules. Having that clear in your mind also consider that in this vacuum EK can do whatever comes to their mind in order to protect their interests. Actually only one interest PROFIT. If you wonder how they keep hundred of thousand of slave quiet in the UAE and how they maintain "peacefull" a place that is crucial cross point spying games for west and east I'll give you the answer: everything is under control. The number of CID agents in Dubai is unknown but probably in the thousands. Phone are normally hacked.
And the EK screening is no different. The Premium Inn hotel where you will stay is owned by EK and directly linked with the HQ. They will see your web surfing and will monitor what you drunk .
