No I don't know nothing about balanced field calculations. All I know is that most aircraft using the full length are usually airborne by the 08 turn off and when they use the intersection all 3 sets of wheels are usually still firmly in contact with the runway. As a passenger I know which option I would prefer if the brakes were suddenly applied as I was trundling down the runway.

If the length is there then use it if you can.

LTNMan.....Perhaps you better avoid EZY at SEN...guess Inverness and Jersey (to name a few) are also dangerous
I didn't say it was dangerous but it is not as safe as it could be. Anyway I seem to remember Southend has a bit if a history of aircraft going off the end of the runway
