I find that the trip reports focus heavily on the 'how the experience felt' and about the airfields, but really doesn't go into enough background about the planning and operational aspect of the flight.
That is why I started writing up
detailed ones. A printed mag just cannot run that sort of material. They seem to believe, maybe correctly (I really don't know) that most readers thumb through it in 10 minutes and then throw it away.
