i understand your frustration friend. it just so happens that the school you went to probably had an agent recruiting students left and right. its these recruiters that you have to look out for.
advice: get a list of schools, send all of them an email, then make an ocular inspection of the school AND talk to the people there. take special notice of the students and what they think of their schools.
aside from getting all relevant information, you get to meet new friends.
by the way, most schools now have indian students so its easier to talk discreetly and ask for information.
