It looks like the drop off area is being moved again. I have lost count how many times it has been tinkered with. This time it is being swung 90 degrees and is a little further away from the terminal. Is this the first phase of the redevelopment which includes duelling of the approach road through the tunnel and a new central area? I guess this bit does not require planning permission.
This is different again from what the airport has just published in their master plan, as they have the drop off area inside the short term carpark so this might be just temporary to allow new roads to cross the existing drop off area. It does pose the question though why spend this money if they might lose the franchise?
