Hi Tipsy, I've had the same.
I think the guys running Oz Runways are doing a good job in terms of responding to customers, but their product is seriously letting them down. It keeps crashing. I've been running it on an iPad 3 and have similar problems. I know it's new in terms of new frontiers, but at the end of the day, when you're charging $100+ a year.
Fair point that I've spent my money already, but perhaps it's been launched too soon. No offence - it's pretty good for a tech demonstrator and I'd love to check it out in 12 months time.
