My last SYD-CBR in a DH3 was 37 minutes in the air and CBR-SYD in a DH3 was 39 minutes, both sceduled at 55 minutes. As mentioned, the greater scheduled times just there to cover any delays that might be incured.

I'm obviously NOT "most people" because I WOULD choose the 34 seat Turbo prop (wether it be a DH8 or SF3) over the Boeing 737 on the SYD-CBR route and day even if it did cost more, cause they are alot more fun to fly on
but thats just me
