On ZB215 yesterday FAO-LGW the aircraft appeared to be in a right wing slightly down cruise for quite a bit of the flight. The captain said we had a 110 mph tailwind.
I have done this sector probably 70 times and never noticed this before. I conducted my own highly technical research by lying my wine bottle on the tray and it rolled off to the right
Can any pro shed some light on this please, as I would have thought any rudder input would have counteracted any tail crosswinds (although I am aware that secondary element of yaw is roll)
