Well technically, the money was handed over to OAA for the type rating, not bmibaby. A job offer would have been made subject to gaining a type rating.
I do agree that the writing was on the wall from the end of last year. I wouldn't have wanted to be in the position of the chaps who are
only just starting their line training!
