Smile P1/s vs PUT, and "In command" or "Dual"

Can anyone tell me, if I fly with an instructor to keep my skills current...when is a flight PUT and when is it P1/s? (and what is P1/us?)

e.g. If I do a currency check after 1 month absence from flying to comply with the club rules, and the instructor finds no faults with my flying...is this P1/s or PUT?

AND under which column do I put P1/s...should it be "In command" or "Dual"? Everyone I have spoken to on this tells me "In command" yet my logbook says different!

Thanks
