Thanks chaps.

I now can see how to do it and what is required.

But, aside from the TMG rating, the only evidence of obtaining another rating will be purely your log book, where as the NPPL had SSEA, SLMG, Microlights ratings etc added to the licence etc.

WRT to NPPL recency requirements for the bi-ennual, it also stated you had to have P1 time on each rating.

For examples sake, if before 2015 I add an SSEA rating to my current NPPL(SLMG), I'll have an NPPL(A) with both SLMG and SSEA. Will this give me an LAPL(A) TMG or simply an LAPL(A) as these are the only two options.

If someone who only has an NPPL(A) SSEA, converts this to an LAPL(A) and then does differences training, skill test etc in a TMG, will they then get a LAPL(A) TMG.

I just don't get the fact that the LAPL does not supposedly have ratings on the licence, and yet it has TMG.

I would assume TMG is a restriction then, but it can't be, as simply having an LAPL(A) would not permit you to fly TMG's without the relevant training.
