Pax 744 to KA
The pax 744 currently losing money on long haul even with high loads due to fuel costs, it probably only has 12-18 months left with CX. Gone already from SQ.
Just heard that a few of them may be sent to KA for shorter routes where fuel is not such an issue, KA need aircraft as some 330s going back soon off lease. China is still an area where the group is making good money. Of course KA already has the type on its AOC and some rated pilots so it could be done relatively quickly. Freighter captains to be given a one time offer to transfer to KA on the new contract or stay as FO in CX.
