olympus. A very interesting challenge. I am most interested in the four Auster aircraft reported to belong to 658 (AOP) Sqn RAF. There is some history covering 658 (AOP) Sqn time in the Netherlands here:-
658 AOP Squadron but I was not able to locate a great deal else after Nov 1944. Does your reference only give their title in repect of that photograph. Would also be interested to learn more about all those Ju52s?? on the pan as I understand that Kiel Holtenau served primarily as a SAR base in World War II, and suffered from heavy allied air attacks. There does not appear to be much evidence of damage to the hangars or the pan.
