It is truly amazing how many newbies start threads asking about these jobs. As though all of the other discussions were worthless... Then they show up in headquarters asking for tips on handling life under a contract in China. The number one tip is, "don't do it unless you're desperate and / or insane!"
Don't let a little slipping and sliding get you down. Ever been to Calcutta? Just sign up, hope for the best, and stay out of trouble. That means look down when you walk, look up when the F/O flies, and try not to slug the doggie that jumps the queue or spits on the floor in Starbucks! Take the money and run like hell when you've had enough of China...
