The fact that they are planning to host a round of interviews shows that backlogs figures should be low. And at airlines they like to oversold, similarly applied; you have to considered prospective cadets giving up their slots due to:

  • Found a job in the meantime
  • Change their mind
  • Couldn't furnish additional documents required
  • Did not complete education as planned
  • and all sorts of reasons
Thus it is highly like that this batch will have room for some new cadets. Similarly to another forumer's posting, I do believe they need some cadets for SIA cargo. This round of cadets should have none intended for silkair as they just filled some positions recently.

Lastly, would like to advise that the current batch that just went to aussieland, out of say 10 cadets, 9 hold degrees. Majority of degree holders is from nus and ntu with engineering degrees. Remaining minority is poly grad (only 1) and others holding finance degrees.

Hope it helps, if you fit the criteria, revise for your first and final interview according to info here at pprune, be presentable and well spoken; then your chances of making it is very high!!

Wishing everyone all the best =)!!
