Very interesting! I've missed this thread bubbling away. If i could just throw in my experience. I applied to Air2000 a couple of months ago but got a standard letter back from the Cheif Pilot saying thanks but no thanks, and the requirements are.
1) >1500 Hours with preferably jet or turboprop experience.
2) An ATPL
3) MCC course or exemption.
I was a little surprised as i have well over 2500 hours and 1000 on an EFIS multicrew turboprop, but only a frozen ATPL (we don't do much night flying at all at work). The only thing i could think of was that i don't have a full ATPL, which means Air2000 must be applying the requirements to the letter. A summer contract would be ideal for me as i have a business interest outside flying which would keep me more than occupied during the winter months, but obviously this wouldn't suit everyones circumstances.
