If I was a regional airline operator looking for a route out of LDY, I'd leave MAN alone. Maybe Gatwick might be the best bet. Competition with FR at Stansted obviously, but a huge market to tap into also.
I think EDI could work with BE due to the historic links N.Ireland has with Scotland, and the relatively larger distance between Prestwick and Edinburgh, than say between MAN and LPL.

LGW could definitely work, and I say could easily accommodate a daily E190 or double daily Dash, the problem is larger aircraft are given preference with slots there, due to runway constraints.

Finally, after a regional airline established its presence, I really think BRS could work out of LDY, serving the south west of England and potential Cornish/Devon sun seekers! Perhaps I should start L'Derryair, and commence the routes myself!?
