E190 Fuel Burn

Hi Folks.

I do airport and airspace simulations for a living. I am doing a study, quantifying fuel burn for RNP STARS and have detected what I consider to be anomolous fuel burn numbers for the E190. My perception is that the 190 should burn less than a B737NG, in all phases of flight. Maybe in the ROM of 75-80%?

We use aircraft data licensed by Eurocontrol and generally it is very good. However, in this case it is specifying quantities of ~ 10kg/min in descent for the E190, and ~9kg/min for the NG. ~ Same speeds. This is for lower altitudes <FL180.

Anyone have any thoughts? I know, a rhetorical question!
