I have rather lost the bug, and the budget, and haven't flown since, haven't looked or read anything about PPL since (hence the dumb question, and yes I could have looked it up for myself
)
My experiences of flight training in Florida with a certain training centre with affiliation with UK training centre were anything but good, they were flat out disorganised and dishonest (and the weather sucked), and that blew a lot of my budget and motivation.
Carrying on in California was such a different and most enjoyable experience and the weather was absolutely fantastic and I loved it, and I'm an idiot for not completing the PPL at the time.
I found out from this experience that in fact don't love it enough to want to do it all the time, so I'm probably more of a 'fair weather' flyer, unlikely to keep a PPL for any length of time, but want to get there just once.
