2. DAS not fitted = no use in theatre AT role-
if you look closely below the cockpit window and behind near the tail there are antenna fit which are part of a DAS system.
p.s the contact is /was not to make money to payback, but to hide the fact the Government(Brown/Blair} of the day ,did not want to spend any money up front
