Hi Northern Passenger. Your specific routing will change depending on a variety of factors (traffic, prevailing winds, politics, etc) but this route often flies to the south of Amsterdam, then over Prague and on towards the Black Sea. It typically leaves land near the Romanian town of Constanta (something I always notice because I went there on holiday as a ten year old!) before crossing Turkey and Iraq/Saudi Arabia (I'm pretty sure I've overflown Baghdad once or twice recently). Finally it will almost always fly over the Persian Gulf before arriving in Dubai. I've never flown to Kolkata so I can't comment on this leg.
The views of the mountains over Turkey/Northern Iraq are breathtaking if you fly on a clear day. Make sure you look out for them!
