Right from the beginning, I guess. Well, some of us.

You start something up, run it for a decent interval, loading it with debt that allows you to strip the real assets, and then it collapses. Then you shall, in Nigeria at least, be lauded as some sort of brave entrepreneur.

I love the way we can read about foreign operators all over the place now so no work for young local pilots, boo-hoo, and on the very next page all about the troubles the local airlines are having. Gee guys, what is so hard about connecting the dots here? You are being taken advantage of in the most flagrant way! Running proper air services is not rocket science; we have been doing in the First World almost from the dawn of aviation. For that to work, though, you need a proper regulatory environment.

Nigeria has the people, it has had the planes, it has the money, even, at the top level. What could possibly be wrong with this picture?
