Peter, last time I was at Shoreham, I reckoned I was the youngest there, and I am mid fifties. It was like a scene from Cocoon.
If that was for me, it made me smile
It is how GA is everywhere in the UK. Shoreham perhaps more than some because of the vintage pedigree of the place.
If you had a place to fly from which had more
women then the average age would drop dramatically. But "modern men" with adequate funding are too busy making the money while spending their spare time hanging out where there is a good social scene, and good "potential"
Attract the "BMW Z4 crowd" and you have it cracked... (notwithstanding that flying instructors tend to hate anybody climbing out of a Z4 especially if accompanied by a bottle blonde bird
