Maybe it's because the middle-aged/retired man has enough ready cash and time to be able to pursue such adventures, while the young ones both male and female are still too poor, and the middle-aged/retiried women pilots are a rare breed.
I would like to have been able to make it, but aeroplane is u/s and I was also committed to training on the Saturday.
I'd be interested in a more Midlands based one - how about Tatenhill, Derby or Leicester?
