I think the salary is fair. The job can be interesting at times, getting your APC ticket to deal with 3 to 4 IFR movements at the same time then doing sod all for an hour.
As I have said before the ATC part of the job should cause no problems ( although I think lack of experience is beginning to creep into some HIAL airfields, nothing dangerous just not as tight as it could be). The main aspect any applicant should consider is that you are living on an island (EGPC could also be thought of as an island it is just not surrounded by water
), and that can take some time getting use to. I enjoyed my 3 years detatchment to HIAL however I was single and on NATS pay rates
and TBH 3 years was enough!
