Qantas will never recruit again.
Any rumour is made up by someone hoping his dream situation is going to come true.
The only people who think they will recruit are the guys who can`t see what is going on or have no idea what is going on right now.
The whole reason for Jetstar`s existance was to break the Qantas pilot Union, the Long Haul EBA and seniority.
For all the guys talking about looming shortages, that will be easily fixed by transferring more aircraft to Jetstar and redeploying pilot assests onto other types.
I use the term assests strictly as a business term not a term of endearment or any other positive HR spin management might put on the term.
