Good April Fools joke.
In terms of actual information, we are still at least 60 crew over establishment at the moment- at least according to the Chief Pilot a week or so ago- and we have 180 pilots on long term leave without pay. There are a significant number of 744 F/Os and Captains who were on assigned annual and long service leave at the moment.
That said, earlier predictions I made are spot on. They are starting to get short in certain categories (767 F/Os for example) and are managing the shortage by avoiding training new crew as it too is only until April next year when the next 767 is due to retire.
