So my points are - you can generate enough G to stress both the airframe and the controls without reaching a limiting factor like jackstall or RBS.
Not if it has a Type Certificate you won't. If you can there will be either a placard and or some method of controlling/advising of the limitation. Even the military will not venture into this area very far.

The point being that you don't actually know what damage you are doing
Thankfully someone else has already tested that.

If you don't think extra G is an issue - would you load your helo up to twice its MAUM and fly it?
No because it is not the same as a 60 deg AoB turn, which is 2g isn't it?

I'm sticking with Nicks explanation.
