Truth is, neither can America. Have you seen the size of their budget deficit?
If the White House hacked the
entire direct defence budget - which is huge, you'd have to agree! - to zero, they'd still have a structural deficit. It makes old Wayne's huffing and puffing about a budget surplus next year amount to a walk in the park!
I wonder if the Yanks have enough cash (credit...?) to finish the job...
