any info on start date, aircraft livery, regional routes, pilot recruitment?
Start date - we are looking at taking aircraft delivery towards the end of April now. Exact dates still
TBD but I expect them on the tarmac in Ghana early-May at the latest.
Aircraft livery - I have the final engineering drawings for this sitting on my desk right now.
Regional routes - will probably need to start up earlier rather than later. We need to make the right competitive moves early to avoid being shut out of markets by aggressive potential competitors who may plan to enter with larger jets and swamp the markets with overcapacity. We have plans and are working towards them, but its too early to mention specifics publicly.
Pilot recruitment - our first 6 Ghanaian pilots have now completed their ERJ-145 type ratings. Interviews for the second batch of pilots in mid-April. Training is by Baltic Aviation Academy using simulators at the HNA SATC in Sanya, China.
