Agreed on the ease, cheapness and reliability of iPad. I can just see some half-arsed system being introduced by CX that will never work properly, in the meantime it will be claimed a 'success' and the manager responsible will have taken his cost-saving bonus and 'moved on'.

Devil's advocate mode: new aircraft, e.g. the A350, will require some sort of interface between the EFB and the aircraft's navigation systems (FMC). Does anyone know if that can be achievable with an iPad?

It might be an opportunity for someone to develop an app.
