>200 bpm heart rate and Diclofenac.

A lifelong friend is in a nightmare situation, poised between crippling arthritis and using drugs that are seemingly putting his life at risk.

Diclofenac seems to have moderate side affects when compared to the banned drugs he used to take, but he's really getting some disturbing heart problems.

Having come off the drug, arthritis is ruining his life.

No one could have fought harder to beat the problem. Working a lovely garden and an allotment, tending to his beach hut, etc., etc. They say fight the problem, don't give in, but to see this formally tall and powerful man so diminished is heartbreaking.

He has been troubled by high BP for a long time.

Is there anything else he can try? Ibuprofen doesn't touch it. It would have to be something not prescribed in the UK, or at least something his GP didn't know about.

Are there any other directions he can attack this problem from? He's tried many alternative medicines/homeopathic remedies.

Any advice would be very welcome.
