Hey Gore, there really is no need for that kind of sarcasm.
And, I happen to agree with Cowtown. Experienced First Officers who met all the qualifications and requirements for upgrade on their main (A330) fleet, should never have been drafted ("forced") over to the 380 fleet in the first place. This is just another cock-up by our blameless EK manpower and planning department, who it seems has no accountability to anyone.
These F/O's have done their part, and went to the A380, even though they knew it would delay their upgrade by the minimum 2 yr seat lock.
To be delayed even further now for what will likely be another 2 to 3 yrs, is a shame for their sacrifice.
It may not be helped, but it is also not the most pleasant experience to watch colleagues that joined in your batch (who were "spared" from being moved to the 380 because they lacked the necessary experience) now upgrade on the fleet that you joined on.
After all, we come for the "command," Who cares what it's on.
