This program really is infuriatingly enticing, yet appears to be grossly oversubscribed and therefore will probably fold before I graduate from university.... Rather than irritate the powers that be on this board with an aimless "when are the closing dates?" question, I was wondering how long similar ab-initio programs (with the exception of Lufthansa's perpetual one) have tended to last... Surely it's more cost effective for BA to simply pick up direct entry pilots given the current economic climate? Is there a realistic chance of the fpp scheme continuing past 2014 once BA's fleet expansion is matched by the number of recruited pilots?

All answers are appreciated!
