Yes, Air Scandic is still going strong and very much so in the land of the living.
The Airbus A300s will be flying again next season having sorted out a few training technicalities and the pilots are now being retained
The above is all good news. Unfortunately as you also mentioned Air Scandic may be changing its name to Lapland Air. (the bad news!!) None of the employees are enthusiastic about this name. Air Scandic is a name reasonably well known in the Northwest so why change it ? If it has to go lets have something a little more dynamic and relevant. The airline is on the whole British, flying from Manchester to the Mediterranean so where does Lapland fit in ??
Air Scandic is a great company to work for, with some great people, so come on management lets have a better name or keep the old one. (I fear though it is all too late)
