Do you think internal candidates will be at any kind of advantage, as BA already know they have, at least some of, the qualities they are looking for?
They may have advantages in that they have access to plenty of information and employees for research, but they will still have to pass all the hurdles to the same degree as the others. They won't be treated favourably just because they work for BA.
At least I hope not...
