What I Found

Strange why somebody would want to bring this discussion from Page 3 or 4, where it was sleeping, back to Page 1. But, since it has popped back onto the radar screen, I decided to take Freddie's advice and look on the Internet. I found these current indicators of the status of this aircraft:

The original statement from PPRuNe thread, 27 January 2012:
it is reported that said B737 was impounded and repossessed at Al Bateen yesterday, and flown to Bournemouth last night.
Jan 27, 2012 http://www.pprune.org/middle-east/47...-tel-aviv.html

from radar tracking archives, showing last activity 26 January:
N647SR
Boeing, B737-505 (B735)
cn: 24648 ln: 2213
first contacted 2011/10/03 22:08
latest contact 2012/01/26 00:13
N647SR - Boeing B737-505 [B735] c/n: 24648 ln: 2213

from worldwide aircraft database under "currently no operator" category with PJR listed as "former airline":
currently no operator

C/N MSN last update model registration remarks former airline

2213 24648 NEW B737-505 N647SR Stored at Bournemouth (BOH) Prestige Jet Rental
CH-Aviation - Airline News, Fleet Lists & More

from Bournemouth movement report 26 January (note no operator listed while movement both before and after have airlines listed):
SBS Reports January 2012
26th Jan
01:58 AWC13R G-ZAPW Boeing 737-3L9 24219 Titan Airways
02:27 GNJ37 N647SR Boeing 737-505 24648 Wells Fargo Bank Northwest Na Trustee

As for other statements made above:

I also saw Faris holding court at the show at Al Bateen. He was telling people that he is still in the Prestige Holding Company as its CEO and that he is still in control of Prestige Jet, which is under this holding company, despite what you might hear from the current alleged manager.

And, despite the comments above about money being paid on judgments, several former employees who have valid judgments against the company - for more than one year - have yet to receive a single Dirham, so I question the statements being made by somebody at Ministry of Labour.
