Direct Entry Captains?
Holy Cr@p. Just looked at the application form. 18 pages!!! I would fall asleep doing all that and seriously need to be commited to expend such valuable energy.
Don't mind the desert, wife happy with the idea-she is not a whinging Pom or Aussie, worked in bigger
than Dubai, occupied cockpits with egos bigger than Charlie Sheen's, worked for some world class airlines and even trained and checked in same so I think I might just fit in and and be reasonably happy.... except.
How much do they pay?
I spoke to an ex EK Captain/Trainer/Checker who left two years ago and after ten years said his pay was around USD20,000. This includes housing and or accom right? Me says. No, he says.
So humour us all who are lurking and MIGHT be interested (particularly if you work in recruitment, training or management).
What will a new DEC take home?
Will EK pay for all my school kids "core" education or are there caveats?
What is the current standard of accomodation for new hires?
