EU salaries are set on a scale of the cost of living in the place of employment compared to Brussels, as civil servants in the UK might be about to find out this can lead to sudden pay decreases for no apparent reason. I predict the establishment of pay committees to discuss the various local coefficients and a whole lot of bleating from the unions.
